Lawns, parks also culprits in use of water, fertilizer and pesticide

Letter-writer Tom Randolph, in an Oct. 17 letter, quoted a National Geographic Traveler article as to the amounts of water, fertilizer and pesticides used to keep a golf course green.

How about considering how much of the same it takes too keep your lawn and garden, public parks, sports fields, etc., green? Or is it just a problem caused by golf courses?
