Leadership Summit application deadline extended to Oct. 1

The application deadline has been extended until Oct. 1 for Summit County residents looking for an in-depth professional learning opportunity in community leadership. The next class of Leadership Summit will kick off on Oct. 21 under the direction of Customized Business Services at Colorado Mountain College, with the assistance of sponsoring partner The Keystone Center.

Leadership Summit provides an opportunity for current and future leaders to gain insight into the issues, opportunities and challenges within Summit County. The nine-month program is a great way to make contacts with leaders in our area. It is an exceptional resource for building community awareness and enhancing leadership skills.

Collaborative sessions, with government officials and community leaders as faculty, will be conducted one Friday each month through June 2011.Participants gain insight into their thinking and behavioral style through a unique profiling tool. Employers are encouraged to sponsor participants as a professional development activity.
