Legislative report card talk on Wednesday
Colorado state Sen. Dan Gibbs and state Rep. Christine Scanlan will address the Summit Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Affairs Council on Wednesday, May 21. The elected officials will provide a report card on the 2008 legislative session. Gibbs was chosen by a vacancy committee late last year to fill the Senate seat vacated by Joan Fitz-Gerald when she resigned to run for the US House of Representatives. Scanlan was selected by another vacancy committee to fill Gibbs’ State House seat. State Senate candidate Don Ytterberg and State Representative candidate Ali Hasan will also speak.The lunch meeting will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Spencer’s Steak and Spirits private dining room in the Beaver Run Resort, 620 Village Road, Breckenridge on Wednesday.
