Leigh Girvin: Glorifying graffiti?

Summit Daily/Mark FoxThe photo in question: glorifying graffiti?

I love Mark Fox’s photos in the Summit Daily, but I was disappointed to see images of rock graffiti at Rainbow Lake on the cover of the paper. Graffiti, even artfully done with a pleasant message, is still vandalism. I don’t need to be told to “enjoy” a beautiful view, and I don’t need an eyeball painted on a rock to show me where to look. No one does. By glorifying graffiti on the cover of the newspaper, you may be inadvertently encouraging others to defile our community’s natural resources.
