Leonard Muller: No on Keystone PID

Leonard Muller
Wheaton, Ill.

Like others I bought my Keystone home to use as a great place to come and ski with my family. I bought in Keystone because it wasn’t like Vail, with the money Vail throws at looking pretty. I like to spend any extra I have in my house budget on the landscaping around my house. Paying for another owner’s landscaping, forever, sure doesn’t make sense to me. Why can’t Keystone do their own landscaping on their property? They previously had a great landscaping crew.

Many owners would probably be willing to chip in a few bucks for some trees on the median (it already has a sprinkling system), but that should be voluntary, or paid by the businesses along the highway and the resort. They will be the ones who might benefit, not homeowners a mile away. $3 million buys a lot of trees and flowers. Is it necessary if the resort has pulled back from their landscaping costs?

Please vote no on the Keystone proposal.
