‘Leprechauns’ enjoy Breck for St. Paddy’s Day

BRECKENRIDGE ” Guests at Breckenridge Ski Resort were treated to an unusual sight today. As a result of the record snowfall that Breckenridge has received throughout the season, several “leprechauns” decided to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Colorado. True to the saying, “luck of the Irish,” these green-clad skiers and snowboarders enjoyed the almost two feet of white gold that has fallen in the past week.

“We spend every St. Patrick’s Day home in Ireland, making public appearances and looking out for snakes,” one visiting leprechaun commented. “This year, we kept seeing pictures of the great snow in Colorado. We knew that we couldn’t pass up a trip to Breckenridge.”

Employees of Breckenridge Ski Resort noticed an influx of people attempting to follow the skiing and snowboarding leprechauns around the mountain, but no pots of gold were reported.
