Letter took words from League of Conservation Voters

Michael SchillingWildernest

Nancy Hassinger’s letter “If you care about the environment – support the environment, support Kerry” published Oct. 5 is strikingly similar to an essay written by Deb Callahan, president of the League of Conservation Voters, and was recently published, among other places, in the fall 2004 Patagonia catalog. The main difference between the two is that Callahan and the League of Conservation Voters urge people to get involved, informed and to vote; while Ms. Hassinger says the same thing, she adds, “Vote Kerry.” Callahan and the League of Conservation Voters have some very good points in the essay – I would even venture to guess they support Kerry. To read the original, very informative and persuasive essay as it was originally written visit http://www.patagonia.com or check out the latest Patagonia catalog.
