Letters to Santa
December 19, 2005
“It’s become a tradition,” Hayward said. “We’ve been doing this for six or seven years.”Dear Santa, Follow my tracks to my house. My tracks are circles. Leave the reindeer in the front yard. They will stay still. I will open the door for you and then go back to sleep. Please put the presents under the tree. I can leave you something to drink and an orange and a cookie. You can stay awhile if you want. Love, Cynthia***Dear Santa, Land on the roof. Go down the chimney. I don’t think you will get stuck, but if you do, climb up and try again. Leave the presents under the tree. It will be on the left side of the family room. I will leave a pan full of chocolate chip cookies. They are shaped like brownies, but they are really chocolate chip cookies. Love, Zach***Dear Santa, Leave the reindeer on the roof. Come down the chimney. The Christmas tree is to the right. Please leave the presents around the Christmas tree. Milk and cookies will be on the tea table on the left.
Merry Christmas, Madisyn***Dear Santa, See this little dot? That’s where my house is. Keep the reindeer on the roof. They would mess up my house if they came in. Come in the front door. I will leave the door unlocked. Please leave the presents under the tree. I will leave you lots of cookies. Last Christmas you ate all the cookies. Love, Keith***Dear Santa, Go up a hill and go over bumps and go over more bumps. When you see a white car, turn. That’s my house. Put the reindeer next to the dumpster. Come in the door. It’s going to be locked, so be careful. The Christmas tree is in the corner by the couch. I will leave you some crackers and milk. Love, Cameron***Dear Santa,
Please leave the presents under the tree. I will leave you some Christmas cookies and some milk on the side table. You will see them. You can stay for dinner if you have time or we can do it after Christmas. Love, Wyatt***Dear Santa, Fly your reindeer to Frisco. Turn and cross the road and don’t turn again. And that’s the rest. Leave the reindeer on the house and go down the chimney. If you get stuck, try to get down. Please put the presents in the house and leave some for the other kids. There will be cookies on the table. Love, Michael***Dear Santa, Tell the reindeer to go right next to the river. My house is all blue. Leave the sleigh up top on my roof and go down the chimney. You didn’t get stuck last year, so you should be ok. Please put the presents under my tree. I will leave you cookies and milk. I can’t get up the chimney to give the reindeer any food. Fly with the reindeer to Grandma’s. She has a big house. Pull back to make the reindeer land on the roof. Go down the chimney. You will be in the room. Go through the kitchen into the living room. Please put the presents under the tree. Be sure and go to the other houses to give them presents too!Love, Cassidy***Dear Santa, My house is purple. Come down the chimney. I have a Christmas tree.
