Liberals who like to ban guns, redistribute wealth are more like Nazis than conservative Republicans

Chris Hinderer, Summit County Libertarian, Frisco

Jeffrey Bergeron, also known as Biff America. About a year ago, you made reference to the National Rifle Association (NRA) and Nazis. I quote, “If Charlton Heston is the president of the NRA, then who is the first lady, Eva Braun?”

Recently, you wrote in the Denver Post and Summit Daily News making reference to Republican conservatives, jackboots and Eva Braun.

The only truth in the latest tirade of mindless drivel is conservatives want to tell women what to do with their bodies, assuming you are talking about abortion rights. As for the concern for personal liberties, abortion aside, every time a politician wants to ban something or make a new law, it is almost always a tax-and-spend liberal.

Since you apparently have no knowledge of history, let me enlighten you about the Nazi party. Nazis were the German Nationalist Socialist Party. A defining aspect of socialism is redistribution of wealth, which means tax and spend.

Nazis also liked to ban things, such as private ownership of weapons. They also liked big, top-heavy bureaucracy. These are all things modern American liberals like, too.

So, Jeffrey, which of our two mainstream political parties is closer to being Nazi?
