Santa, Mrs. Claus, friends and neighbors will gather on Thursday, from 5:30-7:30 pm to usher in the Christmas season at the annual Lighting of Dillon event. Children will enjoy visits with Santa, making a craft in Mrs. Claus’ toy workshop, free Santa hats and reindeer headbands. Children and children of the heart will enjoy a special Christmas concert by Altitude, your favorite holiday carols with the Lord of the Mountains’ Choir, free hotdogs, homemade cookies, hot cider, coffee and hot chocolate all provided by members of the Dillon Business Association and your friends and neighbors in the community. The festivities continue through the weekend with Festival of Lights, featuring the Mountain Majesty Chorus singing your favorite holiday carols on Friday, and Saturday at the corner of Lake Dillon Drive and Village Place from 5-7 p.m. The public is invited to vote for the best lighting decorations on Dillon businesses and residences by casting a vote by Friday.
