Lindholm memorial service set for Sept. 24

A memorial service will be held for former Breckenridge resident Val L. Lindholm at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, at Father Dyer Church in Breckenridge. Lindholm was born in McPherson, Kan., in 1942 and served in the U.S. Army in Germany as a sharp shooter after graduating from Great Bend High School in 1960.Lindholm worked in the construction business in Kansas until 1982 and then moved to Breckenridge, where he developed his talents as a painter and photographer and was active in the community and Father Dyer Church.Lindholm was a former member of the Masonic Lodge of Great Bend, Kan., the IsIs Shrine Club of Salina, Kan., the Argonne Rebels Drum Corps, and was a past president of the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce.Lindholm is survived by a sister, two sons and five grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the special assistance fund of Father Dyer Methodist Church.
