Lindstrom idea will waste my time

It peeved me during the 50s when I sluggishly drove the highways of Nebraska and eastern Montana and Washington states at 55 mph to see a private jet flying overhead doing 300 and really gobbling the gas. At the time I thought it fair that they too should adhere to the speed limit.

Now comes the honorable Mr. Lindstrom suggesting I voluntarily again drive at 55 mph. Assuming it takes me 1 1/2 hours to reach Denver at 55 but 1 hour at 78 which is just about everyone in the fast lane, I can save 10 percent of my gas bill or $2. But the question arises: is my time ” which seems to be rapidly eroding at my age ” spent trying to change the world by Thursday (for the better) worth more than $4 per hour?
