Lindstrom joins Bush in urging action

Morgan Liddick, Silverthorne

So, Gary Lindstrom believes that “if you do something, it is better than not doing anything at all,” as he puts it in his column of Jan. 23. He seems to regard action, regardless of consequence or cost, to be one of the supreme values of progressive liberalism. Odd, isn’t it? This is the very sort of reasoning which causes liberals to howl uncontrollably when the president uses it to justify his actions – in Iraq, for example. So welcome, Mr. Lindstrom, to George W. Bush’s side in the argument over the War on Terror. I can only hope the conversion will last.
