Lindstrom’s personal announcement

Gary Martin Lindstrom
Colorado State Representative
House District 56

I have been a public servant for the past 46 years. I have won all of my seven elections for public office from Town Council to State Representative. I believe that I have paid my dues and it has been my pleasure to serve my community.

After many days of discussion with my family and supporters, I am announcing that I am no longer seeking the nomination for Governor of Colorado.

I am also announcing that I will not run for re-election to the House of Representatives.

I have decided to truly retire at the end of my term 10 months from now in January 2007. It is my intention to continue to teach and write.

I have been in discussions with a young man who is interested in running for my seat. He should be announcing in the next few days.

I want to thank all of you for your continued support.
