The Silverthorne Town Council approved a retail liquor store license for Silverthorne Discount Liquors, LLC/Alpine Wine and Spirits last week.

Christ Lutheran Church was also granted a special events permit to serve alcohol in three locations at the Outlets at Silverthorne during its Shopping Extravaganza event. The event, slated for Nov. 20, is meant to raise money to open a new early childhood education preschool program.

Neither liquor license request encountered problems during review by Silverthorne Police Chief Mark Hanschmidt.
