Listen to Little Big Man

Dan Montgomery - Dillon

Sept. 11 has been on my mind since Sept. 11. I ask myself, why? What could we do to prevent it? Does anyone remember the demands of the terrorists? Did we just label them terrorists and move on?

The war on Saddam, the Taliban and terror is not removing the grassroots desire of future terrorists. When Iraq enjoys a form of democracy, human rights and education, we can only hope it will spread in the region.

Terrorists shall be wiped off the face of the earth, it was said. It kind of reminds me of what happened to those “heathen savages” a while back. Our treaties with the Indians became terror for the Indians as we could not give up our collective greed for more land.

History is indeed repeating itself. Is that good? Are we proud?

So, now we have more obese people than we have people who vote. What a puzzling road money – the root of all evil – is leading us down.

Until we make great sacrifices and quit burning up the world we will always have terrorists.

If Little Big Man were here, he would probably say, “General, there’s too many loose nukes out there to just assume that this action will end the war. And your not just fighting in Montana anymore.”
