Live by your own opinion

Lora Terri, Frisco

Where is The Love? I am writing in response to the Nov. 21 letter, “God says homosexuality is not OK.”

Is this the 21st century that we are living in? In a world full of so much angst and war, is it right to pick apart our fellow citizens?

Before you write a letter disrespecting a type of people, worry about your own contradictions.

When you say that you respect homosexuals and then go on to say that our own God does not, whose word exactly do you live by?

Aren’t you also trying to be the God you do not condone others to be? If you’re talking about the same “higher power” we all regard as encouraging us to “treat others as we would ourselves,” then doesn’t that mean we shouldn’t judge?

Is murder really the same as two consenting adults. Are you actually categorizing loving another individual as the same as killing another individual?

I for one believe that homosexuality and a sin such as murder are two completely different things.

In conclusion, I would like to encourage you to live for yourself, by your own words, your own voice and your own opinion.

If this is your own opinion live by it, but please do not confuse it with your own sense of what “our God” is.
