Local dies on Sunday; cause appears drug-related

SUMMIT COUNTY ” A 32-year-old woman in Silverthorne died Sunday morning, after two friends brought her to the Summit Medical Center emergency room, according to Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson.

At the time, Cynthia Pace was in cardiac arrest, according to Richardson, and Pace’s death appeared to be drug related, as she had a history of drug use.

The Sheriff’s office and Coroner are still investigating the incident. The autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, the Coroner said, but toxicology results may not be known for several weeks.
