Local law enforcement lends a hand for Silverthorne cattle drive

For less than 20 minutes on Tuesday morning, a little over a mile on Highway 9 north of Silverthorne was occupied by more than 60 cows. The animals stomped their way on pavement between the Quaking Creek Ranch and the winter pasture at the Triple Creek Ranch with help from cowboys, sheepdogs and the sheriff. The cattle transport was a success as part of the fall roundup.
