Local piano students making beautiful music

Five local piano pupils from Maxine Olson’s class registered as candidates for membership in the National Fraternity of Student Musicians. This group of young pianists includes Elizabeth Shields, Jennifer Kleckner, Kaleigh Gerlich, Rita Foth and Rosa Foth.

They performed in the National Piano Playing Auditions on April 25 in Edwards. Each participant will be given a certificate, a gold, silver or bronze pin, a report card and a year’s membership in the National Fraternity of Student Musicians.

Olson’s piano students that were featured in piano recitals at her home on May 14 include: Adde Sharp, Kelly Burns, Abbie Stallings, Loren Keen, Katelyn Keen, Jeremy Keen, Sam Herwig, Addie Herwig, Julia Barry, Olivia Barry, Kira Lorenzen, Emily Burch, Makayla Lorch, Anna Zangari, Katy Peoples, Kristina Middlebrook, Andrew Karoly, Madison Bolthouse, Meredith Bolthouse, Brett Huntley, Charley Peoples, Amanda Campbell, Chris Campbell, Keegan Castor, Rita Foth, Rosa Foth, C.J. Moll, Stuart Vanderkooi, Kyle Vanderkooi, Heidi Gruber, Meghan Kane, Kevin Kane, Amy Wasinger, Kaleigh Gerlich, Ian Quandt and Jennifer Kleckner.
