Altered Summit Stage schedules for USA Pro Challenge

Summit Stage is gearing up for the USA Pro Challenge, with altered bus routes to address road closures and additional shuttles to and from special events. For more information, visit http://www.summitstage.com or call (970) 668-0999.

Stage One: Monday, Aug. 17:

Stage services will not be affected on Monday. However, the Stage will start operating a bus service between Keystone and Arapahoe Basin on Monday, between 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Buses will depart from Keystone-River Run about every half hour.

Stage Two: Tuesday, Aug. 18:

Stage routes between Keystone, Frisco and Silverthorne will be affected between 12:55 p.m. and 3:55 p.m. A bus service from Keystone-River Run to A-Basin will operate for pre-race and post-race festivities. Buses will depart from Keystone-River Run every half hour between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and run after the race from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Keystone to Silverthorne Station at 12:55 p.m.; Silverthorne Station to Keystone at 1:15 p.m.; Silverthorne Station to Wildernest at 1:15 p.m.; Frisco Station to Silverthorne Station at 1:30 p.m.; Silverthorne Station to Frisco Station at 1:45 p.m.; and Silverthorne Station to Silverthorne Loop at 1:45 p.m.

First scheduled departures for affected routes following the race:

Silverthorne Station to Wildernest at 3:15 p.m.; Frisco Station to Silverthorne Station at 3:30 p.m.; Silverthorne Station to Frisco Station at 3:45 p.m.; Silverthorne Station to Keystone at 3:45 p.m.; Silverthorne Station to Silverthorne Loop at 3:45 p.m.; Keystone to Silverthorne Station at 3:55 p.m.

Stage Three: Wednesday, Aug. 19:

Bus routes from Frisco to Copper Mountain will be affected between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The Summit Stage will offer an additional bus service to pre-race festivities at Copper Mountain and post race on Wednesday, with three additional buses departing from Frisco Station for Copper Mountain at 8 a.m., 9 a.m. and 10 a.m., and additional buses departing from Copper Mountain for Frisco Station at 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. For the post-race, five additional buses will depart from Frisco to Copper at 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. They will depart from Copper to Frisco at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Frisco Station to Copper Mountain at 10 a.m.; Copper Mountain to Frisco Station at 10:30 a.m.

First Scheduled departures for affected routes following the race:

Frisco Station to Copper Mountain at 11:30 a.m.; Copper Mountain to Frisco Station at 12 p.m.

Stage Four: Thursday, Aug. 20:

Several Summit Stage and Breckenridge Free Ride routes will be affected, with a temporary route adjustment for the Frisco to Breckenridge route and no service on the Boreas Pass Loop during the race.

Summit Stage will run a special event shuttle from the Satellite Lot on Airport Road to Breckenridge Station, as there will be no in-town parking during the race. The shuttle will run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday every 15 to 20 minutes. Shuttles will continue to operate and disembark at City Market between 1:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.

Route changes:

Summit Stage’s Breckenridge/Frisco route will be affected, as Breckenridge Station will be closed from 1:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. City Market will be used as a stop during this time instead, but the route will otherwise continue to operate as normal.

There will be no service on the Boreas Pass Loop during the race. The last scheduled departure from Breck Station prior to the race will be 12:35 p.m., and the first scheduled departure from Breck Station following the race will be at 6:05 p.m.

Breckenridge

Free Ride changes:

Free Ride’s daily scheduled service will start as normal at 6:15 a.m. Service for the Orange Route is canceled for the entire day, while the Brown Route will have 30-minute service from 9:45 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. The Yellow Route will continue to operate the north portion of the route, ending at the City Market/Parkway Center, but all other scheduled Free Ride buses will cease operation during the race, from 1:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Stage Five: Friday, Aug. 21:

Routes between Breckenridge and Frisco, the Boreas Pass Loop and Downtown Breckenridge will be affected throughout the entire day. Incoming and outgoing Breckenridge buses will be diverted to Airport Road, with services to the Rec Center, City Market and Breck Inn canceled from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. A special event shuttle running from the Satellite lot to downtown will run every 15 to 20 minutes from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday.

Route changes:

The Summit Stage Breckenridge/Frisco route will continue to operate. Buses will use Airport Road from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to access Breckenridge Station. Service to the Boreas Pass Loop will cease during time trials, with the last departure from Breck Station prior to the race at 8:05 a.m. and the last departure after the race at 6:05 p.m.

Breckenridge Free Ride changes:

Free Ride’s daily scheduled service will start as normal at 6:15 a.m. Service for the Orange Route is canceled all day, while the Brown Route will run 30-minute service from 9:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Service for the Purple Route will be suspended, with the last departure from Breck Station prior to the race at 9:15 a.m., and the first departure after the race at 5:45 p.m.
