Dillon Valley Elementary to partner with Lake Dillon Theater for dual language camp
The Lake Dillon Theatre Company, in partnership with Dillon Valley Elementary School, has announced the introduction of a dual language camp Aug. 12–16 titled “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”
The weeklong camp will involve students performing classic Disney songs and scenes about friendship. Through the Kaiser Permanente Thriving Schools Grant, 30 slots will be available for second through fifth graders. The camp is designed for students to build their language skills through the exploration of theater and performance.
“We are so excited to work with Lake Dillon Theatre and offer our students this unique opportunity,” said Kendra Carpenter, principal of Dillon Valley Elementary, in a release. “It will be so fun to see our kids thrive through this experience and enhance their classroom learning by participating in the theater.”
The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Parents are asked to pack their students a snack and sack lunch.
If your child is interested in this opportunity, please leave a message at 970-368-1460 and Dillon Valley will be in touch with more information about the application process.
