Silverthorne will be rolling out the red carpet for October’s First Friday Artists Celebration for the premiere of Absinthe Film’s new flick, “Stay Tuned,” Oct. 5 on the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center lawn and outdoor stage.

“Stay Tuned” is an independent snowboarding film capturing epic moments in true Absinthe manner, from riding in the backcountry to creative urban snowboarding, according to the town. The celebration starts at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 5 with the screening scheduled for 7 p.m.

The film includes footage of hometown heroes Red Gerard and Kyle Mack, who both completed in the 2018 Winter Games, doing what they do best.

The event will include live music from the Easy Giants, a California-based band featuring Absinthe snowboarder Chris Emmington, who is a lead in the film. The band’s music is also featured in the film. Food and libations will also be available for purchase.

Following the screening, an after party will be at Baker’s Brewery with live music from the Chris Bauer Trio and another film premier, BAF WAX’s snowboard film, “Rapido.” For more, go to

On Wednesday, town staff said they can’t guarentee Gerard or Mack will attend the screening, but both of them know about it and the town hopes to see them there.
