Keystone Science School to offer Girls in STEM program on April 27

Summit Daily staff report

The Girls in STEM program is about to kick off at the Keystone Science School.

Participants will get the chance to dig into the science and design of gardens and landscapes, making sketches and plans for their personal outdoor spaces. Additionally, the girls will play botanical games, learn the anatomy of flora and plant a sister garden.

Mothers are invited to participate with their daughters, and both will leave the program with an understanding of landscape architecture careers, and plans for their own garden. The program is supported by STEM mentors who will provide expert feedback for landscape designs.

The program is intended for girls in 3rd to 8th grade. It will take place at the Keystone Science School on April 27, and costs $30. For more information, visit
