Peak Health Alliance announces executive director, board of directors

Peak Health Alliance hass announced the hiring of Tamara Drangstveit as its first executive director, as well as the selection of its first board of directors. Representing a mix of people from individual insurance purchasers, small employers, large employers and community leaders, this group of 13 prominent community members will support Peak through its current development process, during the launch of its products this fall and full implementation in 2020.

At-large board members include Tommy Barnhart, president of Ten Mile Enterprises; Don Dankner, retired; and Mark Spiers, president of The Summit Foundation board of trustees. Large employer board members are Blake Davis, CFO of Breckenridge Grand Vacations; Kara Drake, director of Business Services for Summit School District; Sarah Vaine, assistant county manager; and Scott Vargo, county manager. Small employer board members are Stacy Joyce, MS and RDN; Maggie Lifland, President/Owner of Arrow Insurance Management; Tony Pestello, owner of ifurnish and imattress; and David Preaus, owner of Creative Cabinetry. Representing members of the individual market are board members Javier Pineda and self-employed creative director David Rossi.

Starting on Jan. 1, 2020, Peak will have options available to individuals, small employers and large employers using Colorado’s exchange, Connect for Health Colorado, as well as insurance agents and brokers in the Summit community.
