Respite Coalition to host informational, recruiting event for caregivers on Nov. 14

The Summit County Respite Coalition invites the public “Community Resource Night: Respite” on Nov. 14. The free event is for people currently, or interested in, caring for individuals of all ages and all health care needs.

The Coalition encourages the public to contribute to the conversation of respite, caregiving and disability to the community by attending. Community members seeking meaningful work as a paid or volunteer respite provider, or wanting more information about becoming a provider, are encouraged to attend. This event will feature agency and resource tables for family caregivers and individuals with special health care needs to explore local support resources.

The respite event will take place from 4–6 p.m. at the Summit County Community & Senior Center at 83 Nancy’s Place in Frisco. Appetizers will be provided and there is no cost to attend. Respite will be provided by Timberline Adult Day (advance notice required) at 970-668-2952.
