The Silverthorne Performing Arts Center, completed in summer 2017, has been honored with a 2019 Governor’s Award from Downtown Colorado Inc. for being “Best New Addition to Downtown.”

Downtown Colorado Inc. is a nonprofit group that offers strategies for revitalizing and enhancing downtowns across the state.

The performing arts center is home to the Lake Dillon Theatre Company, and in addition to being recognized by Downtown Colorado Inc., the venue made the list of finalists for the Urban Land Institute’s Impact Awards in Denver at the beginning of the month.

Beyond the awards, the new performing arts center is credited for encouraging future development, including the Fourth Street Crossing project, which is anticipated to break ground this spring.

“We are thrilled to have this fantastic anchor in our downtown and look forward to future opportunities, spurred from the social engagement provided by the performing arts center,” said Blair McGary, the town’s marketing and culture manager.
