Summit Builders Association donates more than $30k to The Summit Foundation

The Summit Builders Association recently donated $30,975 to The Summit Foundation.

The Summit County Builders Association recently presented a check in the amount of $30,975 to The Summit Foundation. The money was collected from the $15 admission fee paid by individuals touring the Parade of Homes event. This year had record attendance and marked the 20th anniversary for the Parade of Homes and the 10th year the Summit County Builders Association made a contribution to The Summit Foundation. Since 2005, the Parade of Homes admission donation has raised $220,127 with this year exceeding previous amounts.

Other recognitions for outstanding properties and design in the Parade of Homes included the People’s Choice Award, as tabulated by Mountain Living Magazine, which went to the home at 158 Stillson Placer Terrace in Breckenridge and was built by Devigne Developing.

The Summit Association of Realtors, spearheaded by Jackie McPheeters, received two awards. The award for “Best Whinery” (Winery) went to the home at 70 Pheasant Tail Lane in Silverthorne. The “Best Man Cave” award went to the home at 41 Wolf Rock Road in Keystone.

The 21st annual Summit County Builders Association Parade of Homes for 2015 will be held the last two weekends in September. Dates are September 19-20 and 26-27. For more information, visit
