Summit Dance Fund hosts evening of dance at Warren Station in Keystone

Fundraiser for Summit Dance Fund

On Saturday, Dec. 14, the Summit Dance Fund will hold an “Elegant Evening of Dance” fundraiser at Warren Station in Keystone. The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with appetizers and cash bar service. Guests will then be seated for a short performance at 6 p.m. featuring The Alpine Vibes, a group comprising Alpine Dance Academy’s most talented and dedicated students. After the performance, guests can enjoy a fun night of dancing, with music provided by DJ Courtney Hampton and crowd motivation by “Dancing With the Mountain Stars” coach Katie DeSantis. Additionally, Summit High School senior Kaelin Roy will present her senior choreography project at the performance, and “Dancing With the Mountain Stars” coach Jessica Bellflower will perform accompanied by Alpine Dance Academy staff members Alyssa Hibbin and Sara Skinner. Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for students, and space is limited. All donations made to The Summit Dance Fund, which is a nonprofit organization, are tax-deductible, including all event ticket purchases. The Summit Dance Fund is also able to take donations through http://www.summitdancefund.org.

Dog Den supports animal shelter

On Friday, Dec. 13, from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., all proceeds from sales at the Dog Den will be donated to the Summit County Animal Shelter.

The event is to celebrate the Dog Den’s ninth anniversary. The Dog Den is located on 850 Little Beaver Trail in Dillon. Visitors will also receive free doggie gift bags and human treats, including doughnuts, muffins and coffee, and 10 percent off all 10-punch passes. A $5 raffle will be held for a free 10-punch pass, with all proceeds going to the shelter.
