Today’s Top 5 things to do in Summit County

“Keep Calm and Read On,” the Summit County libraries’ fall adult reading program, comes to a close on Friday, Nov. 22. The Kilted Man, a master of Celtic music, will perform at 6:30 p.m. at the County Commons in Frisco. Matthew Gurnsey is a veteran performer who adds new life to old songs, as well as adding original material to the Celtic repertoire. His unique talents with traditional Celtic instruments, such as the concertina, bodhran, bones and mandolin, add an air of authenticity to each piece. The evening will conclude with the grand-prize drawing for the Kindle Paper-White e-reader. If you have turned in reading logs, you are eligible to win the grand prize, as well as other prizes from sponsors including dinner at Tuscato’s, The Lost Cajun and Peppino’s Pizza. The town of Frisco also has donated hours of tubing at the Adventure Park. There is still time to pick up a reading log at any library and get it turned in by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22.
