Zeke’s Healing Event

Frisco, April 5

4 p.m., Frisco Adventure Park, 621 Recreation Way. The Town of Frisco Adventure Park will be hosting ‘Zeke’s Healing Event,’ a fundraiser and celebration for longtime local, Jon ‘Zeke’ Zdechlik, and his family. Zeke has been receiving treatment for small cell carcinoma, a form of lung cancer, since fall 2013. Tickets are $30 per adult or $20 for juniors 18 and younger, and will include food, 1 drink ticket (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), tubing, Nordic skiing, scenic sleigh rides, snowshoeing and a silent auction. Tickets are available at or by calling (970) 668-5384, and may also be purchased at the door day of the event. $30 per adult & $20 for juniors 18 & younger.

9Health Fair

Frisco, April 5

7 a.m. to Noon, Summit High School, 16201 Highway 9. Save time and register online at The 9Health Fair sponsored by The Summit County Rotary and St. Anthony Summit Medical Center will offer blood chemistry screenings in addition to other low cost tests and a wide range of free screenings and wellness information. The National Repertory Orchestra, Colorado Mountain College and the Lake Dillon Theatre Company join forces to bring you the Met Opera Live in HD. This weekend’s performance is Puccini’s La Boheme. 10:30 a.m. for the ‘Opera Prologue and Epilogue Series’.

Copper Mountain, April 5-9

All Day, Copper Mountain Resort, 209 Ten Mile Circle. The United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association National Championships is the largest snowboard and free skiing event on the earth welcoming top athletes from around the nation to compete for the title of National Champion.
