Today’s top five things to do in Summit County

The Silverthorne Recreation Center is offering tennis camps for ages 4 to 6 (Rug Racquets), 7 to 9 (beginner) and 10 to 15 (advance beginner) during June and July. In the Rug Racquets class, children learn to love tennis through fun and games with tennis racquets and tennis balls. Hand-eye coordination and the concept of teamwork are also developed. During beginner classes, players learn proper technique for forehand, backhand, serve and volley. Coaches will assist players through interactive drills and games to grow hand-eye coordination while developing the players’ understanding of teamwork and sportsmanship. And advance beginner lessons help kids review and develop technique for forehand, backhand, serve, volley and overhead smashes. Tennis scoring and etiquette are also taught. Competitive and noncompetitive games are played daily. Call the Silverthorne Recreation Center at (970) 262-7370 for more information or to register. Visit www.summitdaily.com and search 'Camp Summit County' for a complete listing of summer camp options in Summit County.
