Today’s top five things to do in Summit County

The town of Frisco will kick off this year's Wassail Days festival on Saturday, Dec. 7, with the annual tree lighting and visit from Santa. After, head over to the Frisco Adventure Park to slide down the tubing hill and warm up with some homemade soup during the inaugural Soup Cup Classic. Fundraiser Breakfast for Adopt an Angel

Silverthorne, Dec. 7

9 a.m., Elks Lodge Silverthorne, 1321 Blue River Pkwy, Silverthorne. Fundraiser Breakfast to benefit Adopt an Angel sponsored by the Silverthorne Police Department. Door prizes from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Outlets at Silverthorne, Olive Fusion, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, and a group ski lesson at Keystone, and more. $10 pre purchase, $12 at the door, children under 12 – $5.

Soup’s On Cook-off

Frisco, Dec. 7

4-8 p.m. Professional and Amateur Chefs’ alike can compete in this fun event in partnership with the Town of Frisco and the Summit Chamber at the Frisco Adventure Park. The public is invited to come taste these delicious soups and vote for their favorite, tasting will take place from 5-8 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to Pro’s and Amateurs in several categories. There will be fun for the entire family. Free tubing from 4:00 to 6:00 at the Adventure Park. Tickets are $20, $5 for kids.

Holiday Bazaar

Silverthorne, Dec. 7

9 a.m., Silverthorne Pavilion, 400 Blue River Pkwy., Silverthorne. 32 participating vendors selling a variety of holiday gift items. Entertainment by the Silverthorne Recreation Center dance program participants, the Lake Dillon Merry Melodies carolers, and visits with Santa. For more information please call (970) 262-7370.

The Nutcracker Suite and Holiday Boutique

Keystone, Dec. 7

3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., Warren Station Center for the Arts, 164 Ida Belle Drive, Keystone. The Summit Community Orchestra, the Summit School of Dance and the CO. Motion Dancers present the Nutcracker Suite, Saturday, Dec. 7, at Warren Station in Keystone in River Run Village. The Warren Station Welcome Lobby will feature a Holiday Boutique along with a variety of trees and wreaths adorned with silent auction items. Performance tickets are just $12 for adults and $7 for kids ages twelve and under. Children five and under are free. Doors open 30 minutes before the performance.

Lighting of Breckenridge

Breckenridge, Dec. 7

3 p.m., Breckenridge Ski Resort, 1599 Saw Mill Run Road, Breckenridge. Breckenridge, Colo. will kick off the holiday season with a kids’ fundraiser Reindeer Run, a new addition to Race of the Santas. The fun runs take place just prior to the Lighting of Breckenridge, both include costumes with registration, and proceeds benefit Adopt an Angel Summit County. (970) 453-5000
