9 a.m., Copper Mountain Resort, 209 Ten Mile Circle, Copper Mountain. The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association’s men and women’s Alpine competition.

Free Christmas Concert

Silverthorne, Dec. 10

7 p.m., Silverthorne Pavilion, 400 Blue River Pkwy, Silverthorne. Free Christmas Concert Tuesday, Dec. 10 – 7 p.m. At the Silverthorne Pavilion The Summit Choral Society under the direction of Dr. Jill Schroeder-Dorn and the Summit Concert Band under the direction of Lt. Colonel (Ret) Beth Steele are joining to present a festive Christmas Concert. Included among the selections will be ‘Let There Be Peace on Earth’, ‘Christmas Lullaby’, ‘Carol of the Bells’, ‘Dixit Maria’, ‘Snow Day Celebration’, ‘Roses de Noel’, ‘Christmas on Broadway’, ‘Hallelujah Chorus’, and ‘Holiday Singalong’ which includes audience participation. Accompanist is Caroline Hesford. Refreshments will be served.

Wassail Days

Frisco, Dec. 10

Experience Frisco, Colorado’s distinctive mountain charm this holiday season. Stroll among holiday decorations and Frisco’s one-of-a-kind shops offering unique Colorado gifts while sipping a steaming cup of warm Wassail (Old English apple cider) on Frisco’s charming Main Street and Summit Blvd. As you walk around town you will hear the sounds of carolers singing and holiday cheer.

Story time

Silverthorne, Dec. 10

Come to the North Branch of the Summit County library and learn all about how to be on the nice list before Christmas. Story time begins at 11 a.m., and is open to preschool aged children throughout Summit County.

Session Night at The Cala

Dillon, Dec. 10

9 p.m. – midnight, The Cala Inn, 40 Cove Blvd., Dillon. Grab your instrument and come in and join the band, or play a solo, or just grab a pint and enjoy the music. Open Session night every Tuesday at the Cala. Call (970) 468-1899.
