Hopes on the Slopes
Breckenridge, Feb. 22
All Day, Breckenridge Ski Resort, 1599 Saw Mill Run Rd., Breckenridge. Benefitting the American Cancer Society – ‘Hope on the Slopes Ski & Ride for a Cure’ is a fun, competitive, family-friendly event. Individuals of all ages and skills are welcome to participate. Individuals and teams of up to 15 participants compete for top fundraising, most vertical feet or continued participation on the hour awards. (970) 453-5000.
Five Peaks Mountaineering Race
Breckenridge, Feb. 22
6:30 a.m., Breckenridge Ski Resort, 1599 Saw Mill Run Road, Breckenridge. 5 Peaks is North America’s longest ski mountaineering race, with 10,000 feet of vertical and five separate ascents in the Ten Mile Range behind (and in) Breckenridge Ski Resort. Eighty teams of two will skin, climb, ski, and traverse Peaks 10, 9, 8 (from two sides) and 7. It’s the must-do race of the year. (970) 453-5000.
Summit Cup
Breckenridge, Feb. 22
9:30 a.m., Breckenridge Ski Resort, 1599 Saw Mill Run Road, Breckenridge. The final Summit Cup of the season will consist of two Giant Slalom races on American on Peak 9. The Summit Foundation Summit Cup Series is open to all boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14 years of age. This is an entry level race. Thanks to the Summit Foundation, Breckenridge Resort and Team Summit, entry is free to all participants. The goal of the series is to provide an inexpensive way for young athletes to experience the joy of Alpine Ski Racing. (970) 453-5000.

Frisco, Feb. 22
9 p.m., Barkley Ballroom, 610 Main St., Frisco. Birch Street plays a unique flavor of rock and roll blended with dirty blues and country soul. Free Show at 9 p.m.

Keystone, Feb. 22 & 23
3 p.m., The Last Lift Bar, 1195 Keystone Rd, Keystone. Apres ski fun, join the show and you could be the recipient of The Swing Crew bumper sticker.
