Winners announced for Rotary club’s annual Ice Melt contest

The Rotary Club of Summit County presented prizes to the winners of their 28th annual Ice Melt contest during a community breakfast earlier this week.

The Ice Melt contest serves as a fundraising event to help programs involved with youth and professional development, community service, international and club Service.

Rotary club members use fundraising dollars to support local causes such as the Community Care Clinic, literacy in schools, flu shots, trail projects and foreign-student exchange programs, to name a few.

“We also choose compassionate and sustaining projects each year that support a chosen third world country in need,” said local rotary club member Julieanne Gilchrist.
