Longtime educator, Eva Sabatini, dies

Elsie Evalina Sabatini died Oct. 8. A private family service was conducted.

Born in Pueblo, Eva became a 54-year resident of Lakewood. She graduated from the University of Denver and taught school at Somerlid, Thatcher and Fountain Elementary.

She concluded her career as an instructor and placement counselor in the Education Department of the Metropolitan State College in Denver.



She was an active longtime member of the American Association of University Women.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Sabatini; son Mark Carl Sabatini of Frisco; daughter Elisa Carole Sabatini of San Diego; and sister Johanna Elizabeth Hedenskog of Canon City.
