Longtime resident Ed Robinson dies at 66

Ed Robinson, owner of Robinson Refrigeration in Dillon, died of heart failure at his home Tuesday night. He was 66.

He and his wife, Betty, lived in Summit County for the past 27 years and raised four children, Robin Mortensen of Morrison, Matt Robinson of Kremmling, Jason Robinson of Kingwood, Texas and Kelly Robinson of Silverthorne.

He had 40 working days left before he planned to retire to Montrose this July.

Robinson was active in Abundant Life Church, loved horseback riding, camping, four-wheelers and hunting.

“His heart was in the mountains,” said Kay Robinson, his daughter-in-law.

Services will be held on April 26, although a time and location have yet to be determined. A memorial fund has been set up in his name at WestStar Bank.
