Lord of the Mountains performs Festival of Lessons and Carols Sunday

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

Lord of the Mountains Lutheran Church Choir will perform its second annual Festival of Lessons and Carols at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20. The public is welcome to attend.

Conducted by director of music Len Rhodes, the festival as been performed virtually unchanged for 90 years since it was introduced in 1918 by Eric Milner-White, dean of King’s College Chapel in Cambridge, England. According to its founder, “the centre of the service is still found by those who go in heart and mind and who consent to follow where the story leads.”
