Loveland Ski Area has opened its Ski and Ride School three weeks ahead of schedule.

“We are excited to offer our skiers and riders access to the first and only lessons in Colorado,” Rob Goodell, ski area director of business operations said in a press release.

Slated to open Nov. 20, the Ski and Ride School instead opened Saturday.

The school also offers a new clinic called “Intro to Skiing and Snowboarding at Loveland Basin.” The 2.5 hour beginner clinics cost $50 and don’t use chairlifts.

Folks interested in the lesson packages can call (303) 571-5580 ext. 170 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays, and between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekends. The school is to operate daily through March.
