What goods do you make here in Summit County? How much do they cost? Ambika is a line of self-care products that were developed as an integral part of our spa here in Breckenridge. We boast all natural products with ingredients that are good for you and the planet. We make herbal massage oils, salves, aromatherapy blends, bath salts and some specialty products, such as lavender ear oil and a mullein chest rub. They are priced from $10 to $30, depending on the product, and are individually sized, but we can also make bulk quantities for other massage therapists and spas who would like to use the best quality body-care items for their clients.

What’s great about making your products here? My favorite part is that we use all of our products at our spa and can experience their benefits first hand.

What’s new with your company or product? We are really excited that we are going to have a booth this summer at the Dillon Farmer’s Market. This will give people an opportunity to discuss their needs in self-care and try out what we offer. The land of natural wellness is vast, and there is a lot of information to absorb about what works and what doesn’t. For someone who is interested in adding some aspects of natural wellness into their routine, our self-care products are a good way to start.

Why do you think it’s important for people in Summit County to buy locally made goods? There is more accountability from a locally operated company than a larger national one. In a small community, you run into your clients all the time, and it is a great opportunity to receive feedback about the products and holds a business accountable for the goods and services it provides. The dynamic of living in a close-knit community also encourages us as a business to put out really high-quality items that we can be proud of because people associate you with your business.

How can people find out more about your products? The best way is to come in to our spa, Ambika Therapies, and experience the products we make through receiving a massage or one of our Ayurvedic treatments. We retail all of our items there, and in addition, we are in select stores around Summit County. Mountain River Naturopathic Clinic carries our lymphatic massage oil and our breast massage oil. Meta Yoga Studio carries our Ayurvedic body oils and sprays. B Boutique carries our aromatherapy blends and salves. We also have an online store on Etsy called Ambika Healing, so clients can shop at their convenience.
