Made in Summit County: Zealous Apparel
Name of business or product: Zealous Apparel, unique, handmade apparel for active and devoted individuals.
Date business or product was launched: Zealous Apparel has been around our amazing mountain community for many years, but just recently opened our retail space in December. We are located at 279 Main St., Frisco, next to our friends Rocky Mountain Coffee Roasters, Blue River Anglers and Deli Belly’s.
What goods do you make here in Summit County? How much do they cost? We design and sell casual clothing for men, women and children. We also carry a collection of fitted and snap-back hats, as well as knit beanies. Our designs are logo-driven, organic in nature and represent the majesty of the Summit County mountain lifestyle. Zealous is truly a brand born and raised here in Summit, where our main logo, in fact, came from the identity of the ZL license plates. We take pride in all that we represent and only use the most comfortable and fashionable garments available. Zealous Apparel can work with anyone’s budget; we have T-shirts starting at $15.99 to our premium, hooded sweatshirts at $72.99. Come in and see us; check out the clothes and our latest designs. We always offer locals a 10 percent discount.
What’s great about making your products here? Again, both the company and Luke and I were born and raised in Summit County. We love living and working in Frisco; it’s our home, and we don’t see leaving anytime soon. We are all very blessed that we get to live in such a great community and a beautiful place. We have big plans for our brand and, with that, big plans for our community. As we grow, we would love to be able to employ as many people in the county as we can. We’re living the dream, living where we love, supporting our community and having the opportunity to do what we love every day.
What’s new with your company or product? What’s new? About everything is new at Zealous these days. Luke is constantly creating and printing new designs, and we are continuously hanging our latest styles of clothing in the store. We are working hard each and every day to grow our brand and bring our customers new and fresh designs.
Why do think it’s important for people in Summit County to buy locally made goods? Obviously, we all know and appreciate the economics of supporting local businesses; shopping locally pays back threefold to our community. We also believe in buying locally because it promotes and inspires people to be creative, to be entrepreneurs and business owners, knowing they have locals and community standing behind them in their ventures. We have a lot of talented people and businesses in our community, and if we support our local businesses, we ultimately make life easier and better for all of us.
