Make a Difference in the Life of a Child – Become a CASA Volunteer

If you have ever considered giving some of your time to make a positive influence in a child’s life, now would be a good time and CASA has the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers advocate for children who are victims of abuse and neglect in the 5th Judicial District which includes Clear Creek, Eagle, Lake and Summit counties. They are appointed by the judge and speak on behalf of the child/ren involved in these cases with the goal of finding them safe and permanent homes as quickly as possible.

(CASA) fall volunteer training starts Oct. 5. Volunteers are ordinary citizens doing extraordinary work for children – no previous experience is required. Therefore, we are encouraging all who are interested in becoming an advocate for these children to call the CASA office in Dillon at (970) 513-9390. For more info about CASA, check our website at http://www.mtncasa.org or our Facebook page.

If anyone is interested in being involved with CASA to help with special events, fundraising, public relations, technology etc. but not available to be a CASA volunteer, we welcome you to become a member of Friends of CASA. If you are unable to give of your time, consider donating financially. All donations are tax deductible and may be sent to CASA of the Continental Divide, PO Box 2092, Dillon, CO 80435 or donated by phone.
