Man arrested in Summit County sexual assault case

DAILY NEWS STAFF REPORT

SUMMIT COUNTY ” The Summit County Sheriff’s Office arrested Breckenridge resident Joao Paulo Habib Vieira, 24, in connection with an alleged sexual assualt at a house party in unincorporated Summit County on Feb. 12.

Vieira is being held in Summit County Jail on the charge of 1st degree sexual assault, a class 3 felony. Vieira could be facing a fine of $3,000 to $750,000 and prison time of 4 to 12 years. His bond has been set at $15,000, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

A preliminary hearing date has been set for Tuesday.
