Man hits parking lot attendant with car

COPPER MOUNTAIN – Sheriff’s deputies arrested a restaurant employee working at the resort Sunday morning after he allegedly ran his vehicle into a Copper Mountain parking lot attendant because she wouldn’t let him park in the Alpine Lot.According to a report from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, James Fay, 22, backed up his vehicle six or seven feet, revved his motor and drove into Kaitlin Bruton-McCarthy after she told him the parking lot was full and he could not enter.Fay was angry because he works late and didn’t want to park in the overflow lot because the shuttle doesn’t run late enough, the report said.Bruton-McCarthy was taken to the Copper Medical Center with bruised ribs.Fay was charged with one felony count of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon and one misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment.He was released from the Summit County Jail on Sunday after posting a $7,600 bond.
