Marine mother-wife thanks Summit County for troops support

Please thank the Summit County Rotary Club and all of the residents of Summit County who participated in the collection and mailing of comfort items to the U.S. Marines of my son’s military police unit stationed in Kuwait.

The generosity and caring of our civilian counterparts has simply overwhelmed me during the past few months. I am the mother of a Marine and the wife of a Marine for the past 32 years.

And Summit County residents have gone above and beyond the call of duty in taking care of the sons of many.

Words cannot express how much all of the support and caring has meant to the Marines and yes, their mothers and wives.

My husband and I have been coming to Frisco several times a year for the past 20 years and consider Summit County our second home. Our primary home is wherever the U.S. Marine Corps sends us. So, to the people of our “hometown,” we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and please know that your support and caring is so greatly appreciated.

Thank you and “semper fi” from all the Marines. Please continue to keep all of our military in your thoughts and prayers at this time.
