Mark C. Sabatini: Embracing change in Frisco

I believe that we have begun to embrace change in this community. The outcome of the mail-in ballot Tuesday evening will now allow Frisco to return to business and move forward with review of some 17 submittals to provide badly needed affordable/attainable housing in town.

I offer the following suggestions with respect to the upcoming entitlement for the property:

– Participate in the discussions that will lead to an approved project. Take the time to become involved.

– Attend the work sessions, the meetings of the planning commission, and the town council. We all have a stake in the successful outcome here. These dwellings will be home to our neighbors in this quaint, small mountain town.

Ladies and gentlemen, isn’t that what smart community development is all about” enlightened participation?

According to Lester Thoreau, fortune will favor the bold. Let’s seize the moment and move the community forward with focused and spirited debate with the goal to create housing that surely will enhance the fabric of this community.
