Marlene Fischer, 59, dies on Oct. 6


Marlene Fischer (Riesch) died Oct. 6 shortly after midnight, surrounded by her family. She passed peacefully after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer – with courage, dignity and a smile on her face.

She never gave up hope.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Nellie, and former husband Michael Chvestuik.

She is survived by her son, Michael, grandson Cullen, former husband Mark Fischer, sister Wynnell (Tony) Larson, brother Barry and many friends.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will occur at 11 a.m. on Oct. 24, at the Grand Hall at Copper Mountain. For more information call Mark Fischer at (970) 390-0652.
