Mary-Bob and Jack Rubenstein: Time for an upgrade at Keystone

Mary-Bob and Jack Rubenstein

My wife and I have been home owners in Keystone since 1995. We have renovated our home two times and have a substantial investment to protect. During this period of time, Keystone has fallen further and further behind Vail and Breckenridge in appearance and amenities.

Even though Keystone is a vacation home for us, we strongly support the Keystone Parkway PID project on the Nov. 2 ballot. The tax increase is a small price to pay for improving the overall appearance of the resort. It will only enhance property values, and will be a pleasant, welcoming front door to the many businesses in Keystone and on Highway 6.

As visitor volume increases, so will Vail Resorts’ financial support of their Keystone investment. If the residents of Keystone step up now, we believe that Vail Resorts will assume a greater commitment in the future.
