Matt Venz: Thanks from Wounded Warriors

Matt Venz

I would like to send a huge THANK YOU out to the Summit County Rotaracts. I recently donated 10 Breckenridge panoramas to the Wounded Warriors project and needed donations to pay for the frames and matting. I received several donations; thank you also to Dan Corwin, Paula Stanton and Sabine Dickens.

In any case, donations were falling a bit short of what I needed at which point my friend Jeb Marsh, long time member of the SC Rotaracts, mentioned he would bring it up at his next meeting. Sure enough, the group decided to step up and donate all the money needed to complete this project properly (almost $900).

I went to the dinner last Friday to give the pictures to the Wounded Warriors and within minutes had family members tell me how great a gift and memorabilia this is and that it would remind them of this great week for some time to come. It sounds like the entire week was a great success and that a week in Breckenridge can bring relief to even the most damaged bodies and souls. My hat is off to anyone involved in this event, especially Bob Miller, who seems to be the orchistrator.

I am proud to have been part of this week and look forward to doing it again next year!
